This indie-pub thing is tough. It’s a very steep learning curve, so I’m always happy to find a good book that will help me through it. Right now I’m reading How Your Book Sells Itself: 10 Ways Your Book is Your Ultimate Marketing Tool (Marketing for Authors). This is Book One in a series of five, and it’s really helped me get my head around it.
Best takeaway? I was stressing about whether I need to do Facebook AND Twitter AND Insta AND this AND that AND the other, but here’s what they said about it:
The good news is that your top three choices only need to be your focus for three to six months.
That takes the pressure off. I can live with that.
